Linux Systems Administrator - Level 2/Level 3
The Role:
Linux Engineer with strong experience of Linux operating systems, specifically Red Hat and CentOS Linux. Multiple years installing, building, and configuring Linux based systems. Strong scripting expertise including BASH, PHP, PERL. Demonstrate ability to apply problem analysis and resolution techniques to complex systems problems. Project implementation experience including design and management of complex solutions utilizing Linux Operating Systems and hardware.
Requirements:
Middle to high level Linux experience. Redhat , CentOS or variants.
Support server operating system.
Plan, prepare and perform disaster recovery for server operating systems.
Implement scalable, multi-architecture network based services.
Ability to setup and manage common network services (BIND, Postfix/ Sendmail,httpd, nfs, NTP, sshd, etc).
Strong knowledge in TCP/IP.
Experience with iptables and related software firewalls.
Extensive Layer 2 (Ethernet) experience and troubleshooting.
Well-versed in tools such as snoop, tcpdump, Ethereal/Wireshark.
Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (e.g., Perl, shell) .
Some experience in UNIX system security hardening would be preferable.
The ability to produce repeatable processes and understandable procedures.
The ability to produce quality documentation documenting what has been accomplished and how it was done.
