Job vacancy for Mechancial Draftsman in Australi
Employment form – 12 Month Contract (Rolling)
The Role – Senior Mechanical Draftsman
Location – Perth WA
Hourly Rate – Negotiable dependant on experience - $125 – 135 AUD per Hour
Working week – 8 hours per day / 5 days per week – overtime applicable
The Scope
The mechanical draftsman scope of duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Deliverables – produce all discipline mechanical drawings professionally under Australian Drawing Standards 1100;
Records Management – ensure sound record management of all project drawings through Document Management System and project folders, in line with established standards, including the up keep of drawing registers and files;
Project controls and systems –adhere to acceptable technical and project delivery standards and systems.
Reporting and communication – ensure progress and issues are regularly communicated with the project team
Working Relationships
The Lead Draftsperson will report directly to the Design Office Manager.
The Lead Draftsperson will assist the design managers, engineers and other drafting personnel as required in relation to project drafting and technical requirements.
Projects
Multiple projects in the mineral processing industry throughout WA and internationally – high value, long term contracts.
The Requirements
Minimum 10-15 years experience in similar roles within the resources sector;
Proficient using Solid Edge, AutoCad and other 3D modeling packages;
Tertiary qualification in mechanical design or industry experience;
Proficient at producing all discipline drawings for all plant and associated structures
Experience working on heavy industrial projects, mining or mineral processing projects.

Remuneration: 125 - 135 US Dollars/hour
